Zeppelin Rental moves to larger Construction Site and Traffic Safety site
18 July 2025

Zeppelin Rental has opened a new and expanded location for its Construction Site and Traffic Safety (BVS) operations in Bernau near Berlin, replacing its former site in Schorfheide.
The company said the move supports its growth strategy and delivers a larger footprint, enhanced customer access, and improved sustainability.
The new Berlin North-East facility spans 6,000m²—more than double the size of the previous location—and includes 1,700m² of built space.
It houses 15 employees and features modern office and social areas, a fully equipped workshop, and dedicated production zones for traffic signs.
In line with Zeppelin Rental’s sustainability goals, the site is equipped with an 80kWp photovoltaic system and a 60kWp battery storage unit, supporting a climate-friendly energy supply.
“We are very pleased with Zeppelin Rental GmbH’s decision to locate in Bernau. The new location in the Rehberge industrial park is a strong sign of the economic attractiveness of our city,” said André Stahl, Mayor of Bernau near Berlin, at the opening ceremony.
The relocation also strengthens Zeppelin Rental’s presence in the region while ensuring business continuity. All employees from the Schorfheide site were retained, allowing for a smooth transition and uninterrupted service.
Johannes Wiecken, Area Manager North, added, “It was particularly important to us to involve all employees on this journey. The smooth relocation and successful commissioning are thanks to the great commitment of our colleagues.”
The Bernau site represents the latest step in Zeppelin Rental’s continued investment in its traffic safety and construction site services across Germany.
IRN interviewed the company earlier this year about the traffic safety division earlier this year. That interview will be online in the coming weeks.
