Zeppelin orders 100 Leonardo aerial lifts

28 January 2013

Germany and Austria-based Zeppelin Rental has ordered 100 Leonardo HD vertical masts from Italian manufacturer Bravi.

The Leonardo HD (heavy duty) is an upgrade to Bravi’s standard Leonardo mast lift, offering all-steel chassis and canopies, as well as integrated forklift pockets.

Designed to be used in the harshest of environments, it features active pothole protection for increased ground clearance, which is preferred by contractors, said the manufacturer. It is drivable at a full working height of 4.9 m with its maximum capacity of 508 kg.

A number of the 100 units were delivered in 2012, said Bravi, whith the rest due to follow this year. They are painted in Zeppelin Rental’s red and yellow livery, and will be known as ZV5.08A, rather than Leonardo HD, in correspondence with Zeppelin Rental’s fleet style.

Zeppelin Rentals, based in Munich, Germany, is owned by Caterpillar dealer Zeppelin and is part of the Cat Rental Store network.
