Your guide to the second European Rental Awards

16 February 2009

The 2nd European Rental Awards - being organised again by International Rental News (IRN) and the European Rental Association (ERA) - will take place in Manchester on 26 May during the ERA's 2009 convention. Murray Pollok reports.

This year's awards will be a slimmed down affair compared to the inaugural event last summer, with four award categories rather than eight. The new format has been chosen as being appropriate for the smaller scale ERA Convention - over one and a half days - and because there is no International Rental Exhibition taking place this year.

While smaller in scale, the purpose of the 2009 awards remains the same, which is to recognise and celebrate exceptional performances by companies and individuals in Europe's rental industry during 2008.

All European rental companies and suppliers who sell in Europe are eligible to enter the awards, and the four categories are:

Large Rental Company of the Year (10 depots or more)

Small Rental Company of the Year (under 10 depots)

Rental Product of the Year (launched during 2008)

The ERA/IRN Rental Person of the Year

If you think that your company deserves such recognition, or if you wish to nominate a candidate for the ERA/IRN Rental Person of the Year, then please submit an Award Entry Form, which you can download at www.KHL.com/rentalawards

The deadline for entries is FRIDAY 27 MARCH 2009.

HOW TO ENTER

Entries should comprise a written submission in no more than 1200 words explaining why the nominated company, individual or product should win the award. See the award criteria on this page.

A panel of five industry professionals representing a broad range of experience from different countries will be chosen to judge the entries.

The deadline for entries is Friday 27 March 2009. Entries should be sent by E-mail to Murray Pollok, IRN Editor, at: [email protected]
