Yanmar Compact Equipment has announced the appointment of Ryu Kudo as its new chief executive officer, replacing Jose Cuadrado, who Yanmar said had left the position.

Kudo joined Yanmar in June 2019 and is currently president of Yanmar Construction Equipment in Japan, a role he will retain alongside his new position at the compact equipment business.

The OEM said Kudo had decades of experience in the construction industry. He was appointed president of Yanmar Construction Equipment in April 2024 having served before that as director and manager of Yanmar Construction Equipment’s engineering and development division.

Cuadrado, a former Doosan and CNH executive, was appointed global CEO of Yanmar Compact Equipment in March 2024, having served as president for the EAME region since June 2023.

Kudo said; “It’s an honour to lead Yanmar’s historic construction machinery business, and I’m excited by the opportunity to help lay the groundwork for sustainable development.

“Yanmar Compact Equipment is the most globalized business within the group, and we believe that by combining the capabilities of each region, we can achieve further growth.”
