Xylem makes board appointment

Pump rental specialist Xylem has appointed Earl Ellis to its Board of Directors.

Ellis, who takes up the role on March 9, currently serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer of facilities services company ABM Industries and has 25 years’ experience working in finance.

Robert Friel, chair of Xylem’s Board, said, “We are delighted to welcome Earl to the Xylem Board of Directors.

“Earl’s deep financial expertise and experience advising global organizations will be particularly valuable in helping Xylem advance water innovation, scale its solutions around the world, and drive continued growth across our end-markets.

“We look forward to leveraging his leadership and insights to create value for our shareholders and for all Xylem stakeholders.”

Prior to ABM Industries, Ellis, who holds an honors degree in economics and management, spent four years with Best Buy, where he held the positions of chief financial officer of its Canada branch and senior vice president in the US.
