Chinese equipment manufacturer XCMG has unveiled a line-up of three telescopic handlers, with lifting capacities up to 4.5 tonnes and lifting heights to 16.7 m.

The smallest model in the range is the XCT670-70, which has a maximum capacity of 3.5 tonnes and a maximum lift height of 7.15 m. It can lift 2 tonnes at this height, and 1.25 tonnes at its maximum forward extension of 3.51 m. The machine’s top travel speed is 30 km/h and power comes from a Deutz engine.

Meanwhile the XCT670-140 also offers a 3.5 tonne maximum lift capacity, but has a lift height of up to 13.7 m. The highest permissible load at this height is 3.1 tonnes, and the machine can lift 635 kg at the boom’s fullest forward extension of 9.46 m. Again, power comes from a Deutz engine.

Finally, the XCT680-170 tops the range with a 4.5 tonne lift capacity and a maximum lift height of 16.7 m, at which it can hold 2.2 tonnes. The machine offers a maximum forward extension of 12.6 m, at which it can lift 490 kg. The engine in this unit is a Cummins.
