Wynne expands fleet logistics offer with tech partnership

Rental software firm Wynne Systems has partnered with HERE Technologies to expand the logistics planning features of its RentalMan and RentalResult systems.

Wynne said the enhanced version of its Logistics Solution - automatically available to all users from October - will enable fleet managers to better navigate complex routes, comply with regulations, and improve navigation and real-time data. Wynne said it will “deliver greater precision and efficiency for organisations managing large fleets.”

HERE Technologies, whose users include some major global brands, will bring “high-precision geocoding and regionally tailored routing” and give tools to “mitigate delivery delays and operate with more accurate data for real-time adjustments.”

Wynne said the added ability to create truck-specific routes, considering vehicle dimensions and weight, will enhance safety and compliance by reducing detours and fuel usage.

The integration will also offer fleet managers more control over scheduling and resource use, because HERE’s technology provides real-time updates on traffic, weather and road conditions.

“These live insights allow logistics teams to make timely route changes, ensuring both drivers and equipment reach their destinations efficiently”, said Wynne.

“The HERE-powered routes help drivers optimise their available hours, meeting compliance with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations, while potentially increasing the number of trips completed within the workday.”
