A Wilson Access Hire truck mounted platform provided the perfect vantage point to capture the action during a golf tournament staged as part of this year’s TP Tour.

Robin Hood Golf Club in Solihull, West Midlands, hired the CTE ZED 21 JH Nissan articulated truck mount to shoot coverage of golfers playing the 2nd and 18th holes during the one-day Farm Foods Robin Hood Open, one of several tournaments which make up the TP Tour.

Andy Woods, course manager at the club, said, “The 300kg capacity of the truck’s cage was more than adequate to accommodate the cameraman and his equipment and the truck’s 3.5 tonne weight wasn’t much heavier than our maintenance equipment so it easily negotiated the paths we have created for course maintenance.”

“A Wilson Access Hire operator was on site for the whole day to operate the truck from ground level, leaving the cage free for the cameraman to secure unrestricted footage from his vantage position. The footage he captured will be broadcast on the BT Sports channel later this year,” he added.

The ZED 21 JH Nissan truck mount has a working height of 20.7m and an outreach of 10m.
