Wernick creates modular hire division
19 May 2025

UK-based portable and modular accommodation renter Wernick Hire has created a modular hire division.
The company, headquartered in Essex, said the move marks a significant step forward and will enable it to provide customers with a service that is “more focused, resource-backed, and tailored to meet complex building needs.”
The modular hire division will provide temporary modular building solutions across a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, welfare and office space.
According to the company, it will also offer fully building-compliant units backed by its national depot network and fleet resources.
Rakesh Sandu, head of Modular Sales, Wernick, said, “Clients trust Wernick for quality accommodation solutions—and modular hire takes this to the next level. We understand the importance of quick mobilisation without compromising on the standards expected of permanent buildings. This division allows us to offer a premium, compliant product with the flexibility of hire.”
The company said its modular units are compliant with UK building regulations and suited to both short-term and long-term use.
Typical applications include temporary classrooms, NHS facility expansions, and site welfare accommodation.
Wernick Modular Hire operates as part of the Wernick Group. The company, founded in 1934, has a network of 28 depots across Scotland, England and Wales.
Wernick Group also provides temporary power rental through its Wernick Power Solutions business.
