The new Weber MT next generator CR 8 walk-behind soil compactor

Weber MT has introduced the next generation in its CR 8 walk behind soil compactor.

The new CR 8 offers a centrifugal force of 75 kN - slightly more than the 74 kN of the previous model - at a weight of approximately 600 kg, up from 587 kg.

The design and technical details have been remodelled following last year's launch of the larger CR 9 machine.

An all-around enclosure and the sturdy frame provide full protection for the Hatz diesel engine 1 D 81 Z used in this machine - the same as on the previous model. Meanwhile, the maintenance cover provides easy access to all essential parts to be serviced.

The height-adjustable manual guide bar with rubber-encased handle makes this unit easy to use and reduce operator fatigue. Low hand-arm vibrations, and variable forward and reverse travel add to its user ergonomics.

E-start comes as standard with the base version of the CR 8.
