Wacker’s new electric and digital offerings

Premium Content

At Intermat 2024 Wacker Neuson presented zero emission models such as the new generation TH412e telehandlers and battery-powered rammers and the EW100 wheeled excavator, which the OEM says sets standards in matters of machine digitalisation.

One of the pieces of equipment on display at its stand at the Paris-based event was the EW100 wheeled excavator. The 10-ton wheeled excavator has an intelligent attachment management with tool recognition, a well thought-out human-machine interface, and preparation for diverse assistance systems and interfaces.

Operator friendliness and efficiency were a priority during development, says the OEM. As a result of the powerful drive hydraulics and high basic work performance of the EW100, it is possible to complete tasks for which a 14-ton excavator would have to otherwise be used.

One of the newest members to the Wacker Neuson zero emission family is the first, all-electric telehandler TH412e, which enables working in confined spaces without any local exhaust emissions as a result of its compact design. It can be used, for example, in an underground parking lot or warehouses.

The new generation of the battery-powered rammer, tried and tested for ten years, was also on dispaly at the stand. As with all battery-powered compaction equipment, the rammer is powered by the same powerful Battery One batteries. The Battery One system is standardised and user friendly. It can not only be used in all Wacker Neuson battery-powered, electric equipment, but also in other manufacturers’ construction equipment. This saves on both investment and transportation costs, whilst clearly making construction operation easier.
