United Rentals appoints new VP

United Rentals has announced the appointment of Sybil Collins as its new vice president, treasurer, replacing Irene Moshouris who is set to retire after 17 years with the company.

Prior to taking the role, Collins spent 16 years with finance specialists Morgan Stanley where she held several senior positions. For the last year and a half she had been the managing director and global head of treasury planning and strategy.

In her new role with United, she assumes responsibility for all treasury functions, including capital strategy, cash management, inter-company financing, foreign exchange, interest rate management, and related areas of risk management.

Ted Grace, chief financial officer, United Rentals, said, “We are excited to welcome Sybil to the company. Her breadth of treasury and capital markets experience, as well as strong leadership capabilities, make her the ideal person to lead our treasury department as we continue to deliver on our growth and capital allocation strategies.

“We thank Irene for her numerous and meaningful contributions over her 17 years with United Rentals and wish her all the best in her retirement.”
