United Rentals recognised for veteran employment

United Rentals has been awarded the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Platinum Award and 2025 Military Friendly Employer Gold recognition for its efforts to recruit, employ and retain veterans in the US.

The company received the HIRE Vets Medallion Award, presented by the U.S. Department of Labor, based on numerous factors.

These include veteran hiring and retention percentages, availability of veteran-specific resources, leadership programming for veterans, dedicated human resource efforts, pay compensation and tuition assistance programs.

The Military Friendly program, operated by VIQTORY, recognised the company as one that demonstrate leadership in veteran hiring, retention and career advancement.

At the same time, the company also received the Military Spouse Friendly Employer Award, Military Friendly Supplier Diversity Program Award and Military Friendly Brand Award.

Last year the company was also awarded the designation ‘VETS Indexes 5 Star Employer’ in the 2023 VETS Indexes Employer Awards for recruiting and developing veterans and the military-connected community.
