Thomas Plant Hire in the UK has secured £100 million funding from HSBC, NatWest and Barclays to support its growth plans.

Established in 2000, Thomas Plant is a rental and groundworks company with 140 staff and eight depots in South Wales, Birmingham and Bolton. Company owner and CEO is Wyn Thomas.

One of Thomas Plant Hire’s Komatsu excavators.

RSM UK, the tax and audit company that helped arrange the funding, said the funds will be used for the company’s capital expenditure programme as the business responds to significant demand levels.

In addition to its heavy plant rentals, the company also offers tool hire, sales and transport services.
