Two acquisitions further expand Mateco's network

German rental company Mateco has extended its network to Ulm and Halle with the acquisition of two companies: Liftpark in Ulm and TH-Lift in Halle for an undisclosed sum.

Mateco is retaining all the workforce and equipment from the two companies so existing customers will have a continuity of service and Mateco's countrywide service is further improved. "Being close in close proximity to our customers is very important," said Armin Rappen Mateco's chairman.

With the acquisition Mateco's access fleet now numbers approximately 4500 units with a broad spread of equipment types.

Mateco says that the Liftpark depot in Ulm bridges the gap between the Stuttgart, Ravensburg and Munich facilities while TH-Lift supplements the Leipziger site in the south east. The Liftpark facility is new - barely a year old whereas the TH-Lift business has been at its location for around 22 years.

Mateco plans to expand both facilities through investments in equipment and customer service.
