Trimble launches new GNSS base station

Construction tech firm unveils R750 modular receiver with improved satellite tracking

A connected base station, designed for uses including civil construction, has been launched by technology firm Trimble.

The company says the R750 GNSS Modular Receiver offers contractors and surveyors more reliable and accurate on-site positioning.

Using real-time kinematics, the R750 can be used in conjunction with Trimble’s ProPoint GNSS (global navigation satellite system) rover to give improved signal management in challenging conditions.

The R750’s built-in modem allows for remote access and management, and allows the station to provide corrections via the internet.

Scott Crozier, vice president of Trimble Construction Field Solutions, said, “The R750 delivers significantly improved satellite tracking and connectivity, while also providing a vastly improved user experience.

“The ability to manage the base station remotely and to receive status notifications about the unit while in the office reduces downtime and the need to travel to the site. The new Trimble R750 is a game changer, especially for users who manage base stations in remote locations.”
