Tracmaster in the UK has launched the Camon C3 Micro Crusher designed to recycle waste building materials and built specifically for the equipment rental sector.

The Crusher has a jaw pressure of 18 t, which means that it will crush concrete, stone, granite, marble, paving slabs, kerbstones, bricks and tiles. The jaws are adjustable so the machine can output three different grades of finished productm, allowing contractors to select the required size. The intake size is 37cm by 40 cm.

Tracmaster said the unit has an output of up to 2 t/hour.

One feature of the crusher is a folding hopper, which makes it easier to transport. The feeding hopper stands at 1.7 m height to ensure arms are kept away from the working machinery.

The crusher can be loaded by hand or by a mini excavator, and is available in three versions: the Skid Steer model is 0.66 m wide; a version mounted on a high-speed trailer complete with hydraulic system; and trailer mounted unit with a power pack but without integrated hydraulics.

Alex Pitt, Tracmaster sales and marketing director, said: "The Camon Crusher has a simple unique design that is built around high quality hydraulics. The result is an affordable, reliable, effective micro crusher that recycles waste building materials thus saving contractors money on skip hire, landfill charges and haulage fees."
