Top speakers confirmed for Europlatform

The programme for the eighth Europlatform conference – taking place in Cologne, Germany on Thursday 25 September – is now almost complete with senior figures from the US and European aerial platform industries taking part.
Speakers include Wayne Lawson at Riwal, Don Ahern of Ahern Rentals/Snorkel, Mark Winfield of HSS and Martin Vögtli of Swiss rental company SkyAccess.
Other participants include Gordon McGruer (Kardon Kontracts), Grigory Griff (Fortrent, the Ramirent/Cramo joint venture in Russia), Euan Youdale (Access International) and Romina Vanzi (IPAF).
A key topic of the conference – which has the overall theme Positive Thinking: New Directions in Access Rental – is the relationship between rental companies and manufacturers. This will be addressed by Don Ahern, owner of one of the largest rental firms in the US and now also of Snorkel, and Wayne Lawson, the former JLG executive who is a senior manager at Riwal.

Speakers will look at trends in rental fleets; the impact of the new generations of extra large booms from JLG and Genie; the importance of internal staff training; the potential for cooperation between rental businesses; and the benefits of industry self-regulation.
A round-table panel, which will include Brad Boehler, Skyjack president, Martin Vögtli of SkyAccess and Tim Whiteman of IPAF, will allow the audience to put questions to experienced access industry professionals.
Europlatform is organised by IPAF with Access International as its official media partner. The event takes place on Thursday 25 September at the Hotel im Wasserturm in Cologne, Germany, with a networking reception at the hotel on the evening of Wednesday 24.
The conference language is English with simultaneous translations into German and Italian.
