'Renting Smart' is the theme for the conference with a world-class line-up of speakers explaining how access rental companies can increase their profits and operate more efficiently.

The conference, which is organised by Access International magazine and the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), will feature simultaneous translations into Spanish, Italian and German.

Industry experts from major companies including JLG, Volvo Rents, A-Plant and GAM will look at the ways in which the access rental industry has been changed by the financial crisis; how technology like 'Smartphones' and the internet can help rental companies become more profitable; and marketing techniques that increase business volumes with your best customers.

Speakers include:

Craig Paylor, JLG Industries, gives the Keynote Address looking at how the industry's success depends on its ability to change and adapt; "My presentation will focus on the differences between today's distributors, manufacturers and rental companies and those of the future."

Carlos Fernández Araoz, chief operating officer of GAM, the largest equipment rental company in Spain, who will speak on 'Managing the Downturn'

Asif Latief & Andy Wortley, A-Plant will demonstrate how the use of smartphones is helping the company increase its rental prices.

Nick Mavrick, vice president of marketing at Volvo Rents, will discuss innovative marketing tools in his presentation, Contrarian Marketing: Picking Your Rental Customers Before They Pick You.

George Marriott, managing director of Access Plus in the UK, will show how even small and medium sized companies can exploit the latest rental technology to become more efficient.

Malcolm Bowers, director of Lifterz, and Oliwer Sven Dahms, a member of PartnerLift in Germany, will explain the benefits of rental alliances.

Murray Pollok, Access International, will present a summary of how access rental markets are performing worldwide.

Dr Marco Einhaus of Berufsgenossenschaft Metall (BG Metal), the German health and safety and insurance organisation, looks at risk management techniques for companies specializing in work at height.

Rental Panel Discussion: Craig Paylor (JLG), Steve Shaughnessy (Skyjack president), George Marriott (Access Plus) and Carlos Araoz (GAM) answer questions from the audience.
