Sunstate acquires Washington trench safety specialist

Sunstate Equipment has acquired trench specialist provider Trenchman Shoring Services.

Founded in 2016 by Brian and Jackie Garlinghouse, Trenchman is a prominent independent trench safety rental provider serving the Olympia and Pasco, Washington, markets in the US. The company supplies a range of shoring and shielding equipment solutions to infrastructure contractors throughout Washington State.

According to Catalyst Strategic Advisors, which served as the transaction advisor for the deal, the acquisition strengthens Sunstate’s trench safety capabilities and expands its presence across the Pacific Northwest.

Trenchman will become part of Sunstate’s national equipment rental network, providing customers with access to a broader fleet, enhanced service capabilities, and advanced digital tools for fleet and project management.
