Sunbelt Rentals has expanded its US rental offering with the addition of reusable, modular temporary containment walls, which can be placed in occupied areas to keep staff and visitors safe during construction and remodelling.

Suitable for use in healthcare facilities, airports, data centers and office spaces, the sustainable, environmentally friendly units remove the need for traditional drywall barriers - and eliminates the subsequent dust, debris and waste that comes with them.

According to the company, the Starc temporary containment walls are a “durable and attractive solution that is also cost effective within a variety of individual project budgets.”

Compared to dry walls, the temporary walls require less time to install and dismantle, which Sunbelt said could help keep projects stay on schedule.

The units, which also reduce noise by up to 50%, are available in multiple sizes to fit project specifications.

Kirk Steward, national product manager at Sunbelt Rentals, said, “Temporary containment walls are a new category of rental for us that we are excited to bring to our customers.

“The fact that this product can offer protection in a variety of locations, combined with their sustainability component, makes these an appealing solution for many customers and markets.”

The walls are currently available to rent from the company’s branches in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Atlanta, but can also be delivered to projects across the Southeast and other parts of the United States.

Sunbelt said that this latest product offering is an example of how it is “evolving its business to best serve its broad customer base with sustainable solutions”.
