Sunbelt and GeoPura sign hydrogen power agreement

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland and GeoPura have announced an agreement to make hydrogen power widely available to Sunbelt customers through its national rental network.

The two companies have been cooperating for a number of months, as International Rental News reported in November last year. The partnership combines GeoPura’s hydrogen fuel cell technology and established green hydrogen supply chain with Sunbelt’s delivery network, providing an alternative to diesel powered generators.

Sunbelt will offer GeoPura Hydrogen Power Units (HPUs) and green hydrogen gas supply to its customers. GeoPura has one of the UK’s largest fleets of HPUs, already deployed at major construction projects, live broadcasts and national events.

The HPU functions as a self-charging battery powered by hydrogen, converting green hydrogen into electricity through a fuel cell process. The system provides continuous, reliable power and automatically recharges its integrated battery.

GeoPura’s hydrogen is produced at low-carbon production sites in the UK and delivered through a logistics network.
