Stolen rental equipment recovered

UK-based Sanders Plant & Waste Management, a provider of waste management and equipment rental services, has reported safely recovering a HD Roller using Ctrack’s tracking system after it was stolen by thieves.

The machine, worth £25000 (€31787) had been taken from a customer site while out on rental in the County Durham region. Ctrack Online, a web-based vehicle tracking solution, alerted Sanders Plant & Waste Management to the unauthorised movement of the plant via SMS and email notifications.

Office staff were then able to track the precise position of the stolen equipment as well as capture the necessary data to aid any police investigation.

Due the tracking tool recently being upgraded, the company liaised directly with the Ctrack support team to ensure they took the necessary steps to safely locate and retrieve the plant.

Nicola Sanders, business development manager at Sanders Plant & waste Management, said, “Thanks to the support of Ctrack’s tracking system and their support team we have been able to safely recover our plant equipment in a fast and effective manner.

"We initially adopted the technology to monitor our commercial vehicle fleet to enhance logistics and operational processes, but then rolled it out across all plant and machinery to provide added levels of security.”

And John Wisdom, managing director of Ctrack, added, “We are committed to providing industry leading tracking solutions that are backed up with unrivalled support.

"This ensures we are best placed to meet the needs of our customers, such as Sanders Plant & Waste Management Ltd, and deliver real business and operational benefits.”
