Snorkel appoints Russian distributor

MEWP manufacturer Snorkel has appointed equipment rental company Arslift as its full-service distribution partner for Russia.
Headquartered east of Moscow in Nizhny Novgorod, Arslift was established in 2011 and now operates a fleet of around 350 specialised lifting units from manufacturers such as Genie, JLG, Manitou, Haulotte, Niftylift, Dinolift and OMME, as well as Snorkel.
The company has five service centres and multiple sales branches, from which it provides 24/7 service and technical support to customers across 12 regions.
Its deal with Snorkel, which came into effect on 1 June, 2021, makes Arslift the official distribution partner for Snorkel in the Russian Federation.
Snorkel said the appointment would see the rental company sell all its products. This includes its mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers and material lifts, as well as genuine Snorkel spare parts.
Arslift will also provide technical service and support to Snorkel customers in the region.

Arslift will provide Snorkel's full product range, including the A46JRT boom lift (pictured), to customers across 12 regions in Russia.
“Russia is an important market as well a large geographical territory that requires a distribution partner with a branch network that can service customers in all areas. I believe that Arslift truly have this capability and look forward to working more closely with them in their new capacity as an official Snorkel distributor.”
The news comes just a week after the manufacturer announced that it had begun full production on five new lithium-ion battery powered scissors lifts.
In a recent interview with Access, Lift & Handlers - AI‘s sister magazine - Elvin said, “With a growing focus on the environment, and increasing noise and emission regulations, demand is increasing for rough terrain equipment that meets these new requirements.
“Snorkel electric rough terrain scissor lifts utilize lithium-ion batteries, replace the diesel engine to provide a completely zero emission as well low noise solution that can operate both indoors and out.
