Saudi Arabia’s huge sovereign wealth fund focuses on ‘competitive domestic’ projects

Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) has unveiled a new five-year strategy for 2026-2030 that focuses on “competitive domestic ecosystems”.

It pitched the approach as a “continuation of PIF’s long-term strategy” although it comes at a time when some of the Kingdom’s most ambitious construction projects have either been resequenced or scaled back.
