Riwal's latest order includes JLG 1500SJ machines.

Riwal has placed orders for 900 new aerial platforms, predominantly JLG machines but also including models from Manitou, Holland Lift and MEC.

The company told Access International that the orders are split roughly 35% scissors, 60% booms and 5% telehandlers, and that the machines will be deployed in all 16 of Riwal's country operations "based on expected performance levels".

Riwal would not comment on the proportions of replacement and growth investment contained in the orders.

Riwal's CEO, Norty Turner, said; "With this investment in the Riwal rental fleet we continue to offer a newer, more diverse and versatile equipment range. The investment supports our drive to exceed the expectations of our customers".

Wayne Lawson, JLG's vice president and managing director for Europe, Africa & Middle East, said it was "encouraging to see a progressive rental company like Riwal investing in fleet, particularly as a substantial percentage of the product mix includes new models which JLG has launched in the last 24 months".

Riwal employs 800 people and has a fleet of 13000 units in 16 countries.
