Renta Group has made acquistions in both Finland and Denmark, purchasing Finland-based equipment rental company YIT Kalusto and Danish general renter Jelle-Bo ApS.

YIT Kalusto is an in-house company with two depots in Urjala and Veikkola and 67 employees. The company solely provides equipment to YIT Corporation, of which it is a subsidiary.

Renta will continue to provide YIT Corporation with equipment and related services in Finland through YIT Kalusto as part of a long-term cooperation agreement. The company will also acquire the Urjala facility.

Meanwhile, the purchase of Jelle-Bo ApS, which employs nine members of staff and generates €2.6 million of annual revenue, adds one location in Svendborg, further expanding its presence on the island of Fyn.

The acquisition is expected to be completed latest in February 2024.

Kari Aulasmaa, CEO, Renta Group, said the acquisition and cooperation agreement with YIT helps to strengthen Renta in Finland;  “Renta and YIT have already had a successful cooperation for several years and through the acquisition the partnership is further broadened to cover entire Finland.

“YIT is an excellent partner for Renta for continued development of high-quality and sustainable services by leveraging digital solutions. YIT’s equipment rental company is known for high-quality services and we warmly welcome the transferring professionals to Renta.“

Aulasmaa added that the acquisition of Jelle-Bo “is a natural continuation of our strategy of building a nationwide rental network in our core markets.”
