Renta expands Norwegian fleet with first Multitels

Renta has purchased six Multitel truck mounted platforms from distributer Hybeko, with five of the machines based at Renta’s Oslo branch to serve customers across Greater Oslo and Eastern Norway.

The order includes two MTE270 platforms with a 27m working height, two MJE250 platforms with a 25m working height, and an electric 16.2m working height MT162 Axon.

The MT162 Axon, which has a fully electric vehicle and the platform will be evaluatet by Hybeko in the Norwegian rental market through its Renta Future initiative.

“We are seeing growing demand for truck mounted platforms, and this investment is an important part of our work to renew and develop our fleet,” said Morten Dahl, COO at Renta.

“One of the new units is electric, and through Renta Future we can now evaluate this solution in the market. We have had good experience with Hybeko as a supplier,” he added.

The order marks the introduction of Multitel platforms to Renta’s Norwegian fleet. Multitel has previously supplied truck mounted platforms to Renta in several other European countries.

According to Hybeko, quality was one of the main factors in the selection, with the rental company seeking modern equipment suited to day-to-day rental operations, along with the after sales support that Hybeko offers. 

Arild Jensen, sales manager for Multitel at Hybeko, said, “We greatly appreciate Renta continuing its relationship with Hybeko and selecting Multitel as it expands its truck mounted platform offering.”

“The fact that the order also includes an electric model for evaluation in the Norwegian market makes this particularly interesting,” Jensen said.

The six-machine order forms part of Renta’s ongoing fleet renewal and development programme.
