Renta appoints head of sustainability

Renta Group has appointed Rebecca Långström as its new head of sustainability.
Långström, who starts the role in September, joined the company three years ago as quality and environmental manager.
According to Renta, her tenure saw her take the lead on “innovative solutions” as she “spearheaded initiatives that significantly contributed to the company’s sustainability goals.”
Prior to joining Renta, she spent two and a half years as the safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) coordinator for Epiroc.
Part of her remit as the new head of sustainability will see Långström implement and oversee an environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy while also ensuring that sustainability remains a “top priority” for the company.
Kari Aulasmaa, Renta Group CEO said, “Rebecca is the ideal candidate to lead our sustainability efforts at the Group level. Her exceptional track record and deep understanding of sustainability topics will drive meaningful change throughout our organisation.”
The appointment of Långström is part of a wider push by Renta to accelerate its ESG work and commitment that it started last year.
More recently, the company released its first sustainability report on group level in May, which mapped out the goal to implement an ESG strategy by the end of 2023.
