Quipli integrates GPS tracking and telematics
12 March 2026
Rental software company Quipli has integrated a third-party GPS tracking and fleet telemetry platform.
The integration with Hapn – a US-based company that specialises in tracking vehicles, heavy equipment and non-powered assets – will deliver equipment location, hour meter data, and telemetry data into the Quipli platform.
Quipli said telematics data is often accessed separately from rental workflows, which means that teams have to manually reconcile usage and equipment location across systems, moving between tools.
“With this integration, we’re eliminating friction that rental teams deal with every day,” said Kyle Clements, CEO of Quipli.
“Customers no longer need to jump between platforms to understand where their equipment is or how it’s being used. Bringing Hapn data into Quipli creates a more complete picture and strengthens Quipli’s role as the central hub for modern rental operations.”
Hapn, founded in 2006 as Spytec and rebranded in 2022, tracks more than 460,000 assets around the world. Users include Ring Power, Division 3 Equipment Rental and Permian Equipment Rental.
The integration supports two-way API synchronization between Quipli and Hapn. The initial release includes an embedded live tracking map, automated hour meter data, unit-level IMEI matching, and single sign-on authentication.
Hour meter readings flow into rental and service workflows, including on-rent, off-rent, inspections, and internal work orders, while still allowing manual adjustments when needed.
“Quipli and Hapn are both building products for the modern rental operator, companies that don’t have time for tools that create more work and complexity,” said Joe Besdin, CEO of Hapn.
“Quipli manages the rental workflow, and Hapn provides visibility into what’s happening with the equipment itself. Connecting those two systems means operators don’t have to bridge the gap manually, and what we’ll be able to do with that combined data going forward is really exciting.”
Quipli said the integration will be particularly useful for multi-branch rental businesses, fleets with 50 or more assets, and companies managing mobile equipment where visibility, utilisation, and theft prevention are important.
Future developments will expand real-time telemetry into order-level workflows, providing live unit data directly on active rental orders.
