US-based battery energy storage systems (BESS) specialist POWR2 has launched the POWRBANK Hybrid, a trailer-mounted unit that combines a battery system and generator into a single mobile power solution.

Designed for use on construction sites, live events, and other off-grid applications, the POWRBANK Hybrid is aimed at users seeking a reliable, fuel-efficient alternative to traditional generators.

By integrating a generator with the company’s POWRBANK BESS, the unit offers what POWR2 describes as “a bridge between the known and the new,” helping end-users adopt battery technology without disrupting familiar workflows.

Once deployed, the battery powers the load while the generator automatically recharges the system as needed.

The automatic switching is designed to minimise fuel use and emissions, maximise uptime, and reduce runtime with minimal user intervention, according to POWR2.

The system also features POWR2’s ADVANTAGE energy management software, which enables remote monitoring and control of the battery, generator, and connected loads.

It also provides accurate data insights and supports ROI tracking. POWR2 said the system, which is currently available in the US, offers a simplified approach to hybrid power by eliminating the need to manage separate systems.

Hudson Nunn, vice president of Revenue, POWR2, said, “What sets the POWRBANK Hybrid apart is our technology, data, and results. Our ADVANTAGE control software ensures our clients have clear and accurate data on their ROI.

“The mission of mobile BESS integration is clear – the POWRBANK Hybrid and our other BESS offerings save significant money and time for our clients.”
