Petrol disc cutter from Makita

Makita's DPC8112 is the company's debut in the 16-inch (0,4 m) petrol disc cutter market. The machine, powered by a low emission 81 cc engine, produces 4,5 kW and has the same decompression, easy-start system and same on/off/choke control as Makita's DPC6410 model. Weighing 10 kg ready to work, the company claims it is the lightest machine on the market in the 16-inch class.

It features a 5-stage air cleaner system to better protect the engine from dust. The air intake is above the engine, in the cleanest atmosphere possible (Makita claims other brands have air intakes lower on the engine, directly in the most dust-polluted area.)

A maximum cutting depth of 145 mm and maximum wheel speed of 3800 rpm make it suitable for applications in major construction operations, rail line laying and all precast concrete activities.

The company has also launched two new electric chainsaws, designed for use by professional tree surgeons, the UC3530A and the UC4030A. Both weigh 4,4 kg and are available in 240-Volt (with a 2 kW motor) and an 110-Volt (with 1,570 kW motor) versions.
