We regret to report that Paul Wood, the long serving Managing Director of Andrews Sykes, has passed away after short illness.

Andrews Sykes said it was “deeply saddened” and added; “Our thoughts and prayers are with Paul’s family and all his colleagues across the Group, many of whom have worked with Paul for many years.

Paul Wood

Paul himself worked for the Group for the whole of his working life, joining from school in 1978. Having risen to the top of the business, his leadership has been exemplary”.

The company said Paul had built a strong management team around him, including Carl Webb, “a fine leader who has been the Group’s acting Managing Director since Paul’s illness was announced.”

Paul Wood was appointed Operations Director in March 2006 and became Managing Director in December 2006. The company runs pump and temperature control rental businesses in the UK, mainland Europe, the Middle East and North America.

IRN interviewed Paul several times over the years. We remember a thoughtful man with an encyclopedic knowledge of his business. Our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
