Optimised scissor completes JLG ES line
16 February 2024
JLG Industries has completed its electric ES series of scissor lifts with a new model.
The ES4046 incorporates customer feedback to enhance key areas of the product, such as fold-down rails for ease of use and maneuverability. Performance has also been optimised with over 50% more duty cycles than the previous R4045 electric scissor lift, as well as the introduction of parts commonality, fewer hoses and fittings and a single lift cylinder, which results in reduced maintenance needs.
With a 39ft (11.92m) platform height indoors and up to 28.5ft outdoors, the electric drive model is the lowest gross weight scissor in its class, says JLG, and includes a zero turning radius which provides access to narrow aisles and tight overhead spaces. The compact lift has width of 3.10ft (1.17m) and a 770 pound (349.27kg) platform capacity, along with a deive speed when lowered of 3mph (4.83km/h).
In 2024, JLG will introduce a lithium-ion battery option to offer greater efficiency, enhanced battery life, fast charging, and a lower lifetime cost of ownership. Operators also can add optional features such as CleanGuard leak containment system for working on sensitive flooring, a 900-watt inverter to charge tools, and SkySense enhanced detection system that helps protect workers and property.
There is also a USB charger and phone holster, improving the operator experience while delivering a high degree of commonality with other JLG scissors to simplify service, said the company.
ClearSky Smart Fleet comes standard on the ES4046 to allow for easier fleet tracking, which goes above and beyond to provide full lifecycle support. JLG offers responsive on-site service and technical support from experts, and continues to provide robust training options for operators, supervisors, and service technicians.
Bob Begley, JLG Director of Product Management, said, “Specifically designed to meet the demands of the worksite of the future, the ES4046 was built with new power options and advanced technologies in mind.
“This scissor lift will continue to evolve as operator needs change, to expand jobsite capabilities and continue to deliver the best in productivity, efficiency and safety.”
