UK rental firm Nixon Hire has taken delivery of 107 Loadall telehandlers from JCB in an order worth £7 million (US$11.3 million).

The firm has purchased the Tier 4i JCB Loadall telescopic handlers in lift heights ranging from 7 m to 17 m. The order includes 531-70, 533-105, 535-125, 535-140 and 540-170 models - all of which are made at JCB's World HQ in Rocester, UK.

The majority of the machines went straight out on hire in construction and materials handling roles across the UK.

Developed to meet the EU Stage IIIB/US Tier 4 Interim emissions standards, the JCB Ecomax Tier 4i engine does not use diesel particulate filters (DPFs) or exhaust after treatment fluids, resulting in low cost, efficient operation for customers. The result is up to 7% improved fuel economy and 15% more torque.

Nixon Hire managing director, Graham Nixon said: “JCB supplies us with the products we require at a competitive price and has been the preferred supplier for Nixon Hire telehandlers since 2006.

"We continue to have an excellent relationship with our local dealer Scot JCB and its extensive depot coverage compliments our own depot network very well.”

Nixon Hire operates 14 depots across the UK and one in Doha, Qatar.
