New Riwal management brings it closer to customers

Riwal is expanding its executive management team with new roles for current employees to create closer relationships with its customers and a tailored approach for each country it operates in.

As of 1 January, Riwal’s executive management team will consist of current CEO Pedro Torres, Chief Financial Officer René Timmers, and Chief Commercial Officer Johan van Klinken, alongside  newly appointed members.

Glenn Verburg, who is currently Riwal’s Country Manager for the Benelux and has worked for Riwal for 12.5 years, will take on the role of COO. The company said Verberg will combine his in-depth market knowledge with an international focus, aligning closely with local teams and streamlining daily operations to make them more agile.

Bob de Leeuw, currently responsible for Digital & IT, will support both commercial and fleet operations as CIO. “Because of the company’s ambitions and customer centric focus, De Leeuw is improving the performance of platforms, such as the website and customer portal MyRiwal, and handling projects on e-commerce, digital innovation and predictive maintenance,” Riwal said. 

Torres commented, “We are putting key players in place with a strong focus. These latest appointments concern colleagues taking on new responsibilities and supporting the 14 countries we have operations in.

“This enables us to take full advantage of internal resources and apply a tailored approach to each country. By using the talent within our organisation and creating optimal group synergy, we stay flexible and competitive in this ever dynamic industry.”
