Ditch Witch has launched a new “construction-grade” mini skid steer, the SK1050, which it said was designed for demanding landscape, hardscape and irrigation jobs.

Powered by a 37 hp Tier 4 Yanmar diesel engine, the unit directs 30 hp to the attachment, allowing the machine to be used on challenging tasks with attachments including trenchers and augers.

“Listening to the customer, incorporating their feedback, and improving productivity and ROI is a critical component of all new product designs,” said Chris Thompson, Ditch Witch product manager, compact equipment.

“With the new SK1050, we did just that. With boosted power, added versatility and increased durability, the machine provides operators peace of mind that they can get any landscape, hardscape or irrigation job done effectively and efficiently, while adding to their bottom line.”

With a hinge-pin height of 83 in (2.1 m), Ditch Witch said the SK1050 can be used for efficient and flexible loading and unloading at a wide range of dump sites, adding that its 1057 lb rated operating capacity gives “exceptional stability” in a variety of soils.
