Aerial platform manufacturer Multitel Pagliero has secured a new customer, receiving an order for three truck mounts from rental company Fratelli Zallocco, which is expanding its rental portfolio to cater to new markets.

Based northeast of Rome in the coastal town of Loreto, Zallocco is a specialist in the rental of mobile cranes, roadside assistance vehicles and heavy vehicles.

The company recently added two of Multitel’s articulated MX210 models and one of its MZ 250 truck mounts to its fleet, taking its first steps into the access rental market and increasing its product offering for construction, maintenance and renovation sector customers.

Zallocco’s MZ 250 articulated platform offers a maximum working height of 25.1m and an outreach of 14.3m.

The unit is fitted with a 250kg capacity basket and also offers automatic stabilisation, as well as a below ground reach of 2.5m.

Mounted on a 3.5-tonne Iveco chassis that has a 3-metre wheelbase, Multitel says the truck mount’s “excellent turning radius” enables users to access working areas other model similar machines can’t.

The MZ 250 also features Multitel’s MUSA system, which optimises all of the platform’s movements based on load, boom rotation and position of the stabilizers.

Zallocco’s two, slightly smaller MX210 models deliver a working height of 21.2m and have a maximum horizontal outreach of 9.8m. They are fitted with a 200kg capacity platform and their turrets provide 400 degrees of rotation.

Mulitel, which recently launched its new MXE 170 model at APEX 2023, said, “The operator can get around any obstacles and be positioned precisely at the work area thanks to the turret’s 400° rotation and the self-leveling platform that turns 90°+90°,” said Multitel.

“The extendable stabilizers at the front and straight-line at the back make the MX 210 an easy machine to position even in tight spaces, while the base frame in aluminium alloy and the floor in micro-perforated aluminium increase lightness and manoeuvrability.”
