Set to replace two-year-old models in the Morris Leslie fleet, Mecalac will supply a variety of forward and swivel tip units with payloads between one and nine tonnes. Morris Leslie said each unit would feature the latest in emissions-compliant engine technology, leading build quality and state-of-the-art operator controls.

Morris Leslie added that the purchase of Mecalac dumpers was part of its strategic plan to provide contractors with the best equipment suited to urban construction sites.

The rental company operates 13 depots across the UK, offering earthmoving, compaction and access equipment. It also has a sales division.

Graham Ogilvie, managing director at Morris Leslie Plant Hire, said, “We want to provide our customers with the very best in industry leading products and need equipment that is efficient, reliable and built with the operator in mind.

“We have one of the most modern fleets in the industry with an average fleet age of less than two years old, which allows us to ensure customers have high-quality kit they can depend on. This agreement with Mecalac will provide us with the very latest in innovation and design.”

Meanwhile, Paul MacPherson, UK sales and marketing director at Mecalac Construction Equipment UK, added, “As one of the UK’s premier plant hire specialists, renowned for delivering exceptional service for construction professionals nationwide, we’re excited to be working with Morris Leslie Plant Hire Ltd.
