More participants in Global Rental Alliance exchange programme

The latest participant in the Global Rental Alliance's international rental exchange programme has traveled from Australia to Canada for a month-long exchange.

Matt Gordon of Centenary Hire in Darra, Queensland, Australia, will be working with Nor-Val Rentals in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada.

Mr Gordon will attend the American Rental Association (ARA) Leadership Conference in Chicago in mid-October to meet local, state and provincial leaders involved with ARA and the Canadian Rental Association (CRA), plus ARA's board of directors.

Another participant will make the trip going in the other direction. In mid-October, Brittany Haas of Crown Rental Co in Rosemount, Minnesota, will travel to Camden, New South Wales, Australia, to spend a month with Camden Hire.

Both Mr Gordon and Ms Haas will provide blog updates on their experiences at www.globalrentalalliance.com

The exchange program is administered for the Global Rental Alliance by the ARA Foundation. ARA said the programme "provides young rental professionals the opportunity to develop their leadership skills. The participants are able to experience how the rental equipment business functions in countries and operations other than their own."

Since the rental exchange program began in November 2008, three successful exchanges have been completed.

Associations involved in the Global Rental Alliance are: ARA, CRA (Canada), DLR (France), European Rental Association, Hire Association Europe, Hire Industry Association of New Zealand and Hire and Rental Industry Association (Australia).
