Italian rental company Mollo Noleggio has reported a strong 2020 in which turnover totalled €80 million, a 10.7% rise compared to 2019, with the company also set to boost its fleet of low emission equipment this year.

The Piedmont (northern Italian) headquartered company, which rents machinery and equipment for the construction, industry and agriculture markets, said despite the pandemic, 2020 had been a strong year.

During 2020 it served a total of 15,000 customers and completed 53,000 rental contracts for 61,000 equipment items across Italy and Europe.

In 2021, the company will expand its 8000-strong fleet, aged on average 4.2 years, by a further 1,300 new vehicles and equipment. Valued at over €35 million, the purchase will comprise electrical, lithium and hybrid products.

It will also have a strong focus on European Stage 6 products, with the company committed to decommissioning Stage 4 and 5 truck-mounted platforms and trucks by year end.

Mollo Noleggio has 327 employees across 38 directly managed rental centres in the regions of Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria. It is part of Mollo Group, which also includes crane rental company Mollogru and building materials firm Mollo Edilizia.
