Tracked platform specialist MBS access has added a Bluelift SA22 Lithium Hybrid to its fleet – the first in the UK.

MBS already operates tracked platforms from CTE, Hinowa, CMC, Teupen and Multitel, and with its latest addition wanted to address the needs of customers carrying out internal and external work on the same site.

Traditionally those customers had to compromise, explained MBS, by using a pure lithium machine for both jobs, and trust that the batteries would last the full day or accept a major decrease in speed and performance with the machine plugged into the mains power source.

The 22m working height machine was supplied through work at height specialist Height Lift & Shift (HLS), which undertook research to find a suitable product, resulting in a visit to the Bluelift manufacturing plant in Rimini, Italy.
