Mateco ugrades Germany facilities

European rental giant Mateco has restructured its facilities in Germany with extensive investment across locations in Rendsburg, Nuremberg, Alpen and Essen.

The state-of-the-art upgrades are designed to create an attractive working environment for customers and employees.

Larger operational areas, modern workshops, and new infrastructure are creating more efficient workflows, said the company, for maintenance and logistics of aerial platforms.

The programmed has resulted in a combined location in Nuremberg, where the previous branch and the Nuremberg-West handover station have been consolidated into a single site in the city’s harbor district. The site has been in operation since late May 2026.

The Alpen branch has also moved into a modern new building. Located just minutes from the previous site, the new facility at Flammacker 3 serves as a high-performance hub for aerial work platform rentals and used equipment sales. The site was specifically designed to meet the requirements of maintenance, service, administration, and logistics.

Rendsburg is now located in a new building in the Scanham industrial park in Borgstedt. The site is located a few kilometers from the previous branch and enjoys excellent connections to the regional transport network, said Mateco.

Site development in Essen is ongoing at the existing Essen-Karnap site, with a combination of new construction and extensive renovation of existing facilities. A particular challenge was executing the construction work while operations continued. These measures have positioned the site to meet both current requirements and future development needs.

Overall, the work across the sites means customers benefit from shorter delivery distances, enhanced machine availability and superior support, added the company, while modern office, training and staff facilities provide contemporary, functional working conditions.
