Built on a 20,400m2 site in Leonberg, which is located in southwest Germany, near Stuttgart (where the company’s current headquarters stand), the new facility will be close to the A8 and A81 main roads.

The four-storey office building on the site will have a 41x19m footprint, and there will be a 1,700m2 workshop.

Mateco, which was founded in 1973, said it has outgrown its current headquarters. The company has 60 depots and more than 1,000 employees across Germany. About 150 of those employees will be based at the new headquarters.

Work on the site began on 14 September, 2020, and is scheduled for completion by the end of October, 2021.
