Power tools manufacturer Makita has added a new electric air compressor to its Quiet Series range.

Described the company as compact, the MAC210Q is an AC-powered air compressor designed for use with regular pressure tools and enables “efficient and consistent operation” while delivering faster recovery time, lower noise and longer tool life.

Available in 110V or 240V options, the MAC210Q is delivers a low noise level of 60dB(A) and weighs 44lbs (19Kg), which Makita said makes it both ideal for indoor use and easy to transport around site.

A low AMP draw reduces incidents of tripped breakers at start-up, while the lever-handle tank drain system makes for easy air tank release.

Meanwhile, a 0.7kW induction motor provides two CFM at 90 PSI with a maximum tank pressure of 135 PSI.

Makita said the compressor can also run at a lower RPM, ensuring a longer lifespan for both the motor and pump, which are also protected by a roll-cage construction that provides added protection during transportation, storage, and on the job site.

Kevin Brannigan, marketing manager, Makita UK, said, “Air compressors are hardy companions for workshop professionals – they need to be robust and reliable, while being practical and ergonomic. Makita offers all of this with the lightweight and portable MAC210Q, which delivers high performance at low noise levels.”
