Loxam to participate in European Rental Week

France-based rental company Loxam has confirmed its participation in European Rental Week.
Due to take place from 9 to 13 October, the theme for the first ever European Rental Week is ‘Investing in People’, with rental companies and their employees invited to take part and demonstrate the attractiveness of working in the industry.
Loxam said it’s teams in each country will “be working to promote the attractiveness of the equipment rental sector through a range of publicity campaigns.”
The company, which has more than 12,000 employees across 1,100 branches, added that the rental industry has “an undeniable human dimension due to its diversity of the professions, profiles and career paths on offer”.
Stéphane Hénon, managing director of Loxam and chairman of the European Rental Association, highlighted the importance of people to the rental industry; “People are the key to the success of our industry. At Loxam, we understand this, and we do everything we can to make our employees feel at home with us.
“We support our employees from the very first day they join us and throughout their careers, with a proactive professional training program open to all.
“Our business, at the heart of the sharing economy, offers young people a great deal of responsibility and exciting career opportunities, but we need to get the word out. That’s the aim of this European Rental Week: to raise our industry’s profile and allow it to shine.”
The company said its employees “are at the heart of our business model and represent the first pillar of the company’s CSR commitments.
“Whether it’s a question of training and supporting talented staff, ensuring their safety or pursuing a proactive policy in favour of inclusion, Loxam has always attached great importance to their well-being.”
The European Rental Week is organised by the European Rental Association (ERA) and its National Association and Promotion Committees. Part of the event will see a live webinar hosted at a Loxam branch.
