LiftSmart to show 11 new products at The Rental Show

LiftSmart, a manufacturer of portable, aluminum telescopic material lifts for the construction and equipment rental markets, is unveiling two new material lift product families representing a total of 11 new material lift models at the The Rental Show Feb. 5-8 in New Orleans.

Located in Vista, California LiftSmart first showed their introductory product range, the MLC Construction Pro Series, at the 2011 Rental Show in Las Vegas. This year the company will add two new product families to its offerings, including the MLI Industrial Pro Series and the MLM Mini-Pro Series.

The MLI Industrial Pro Series consists of eight models ranging from 5 feet to 25 feet (1.5 to 7.6m), and provide load capacities of up to 1,000 pounds (454 kg). Three of these models feature adjustable flat forks and a width adjusting base, allowing the machine to be narrow enough to pass through a single-width doorway, yet also be adjusted wide enough to straddle a full size pallet.

The new MLM Mini-Pro Series consists of three model heights ranging from 12 to 20 feet (3.8 to 6 m) and provide lift capacities between 600 and 700 pounds (272 to 318 kg.). Featuring a stowed height of 5 feet, 2 inches (1.59 m), "these models have been historically more popular in Europe because they provide for easier transport in smaller vehicles, but we see additional untapped opportunities here in North America for this new model family," said Steve Citron, managing director of LiftSmart.

In addition to these product families, LiftSmart will be introducing several other options and accessories, including tubular adjustable forks, adjustable blade forks, load platforms, pipe cradles, fork extensions, and other items.

The two new product families join the MLC Construction Pro Series which consists of three models ranging from 12 to 24 feet (4 to 7.4 m), and feature load capacities of up to 750 pounds (340 kg). The company plans to introduce three European versions of these models later this spring to open the door to international markets as "interest has been very high since introducing this line in March of 2011," Citron added.

The company also plans to unveil some new patent-pending innovations at the show. "One of our core strategies to expand our customer base and market presence is through providing highly compelling products with value-added features and technologies that assist rental operators in generating a higher level of recurring monthly revenues due to increased utilization created through patent-protected product differentiation that drives end-user demand for LiftSmart products," Citron said.

"We are in the process of reviewing our product development road map and evaluating input from our customers and sales team and, without getting into specifics, it is quite possible that one of our next moves may include the development of a new line of aerial work platforms," Citron said. "We feel there are opportunities to fill some niches and to continue to expand our product offering, strengthening the company going forward."

The company will be accepting orders for all models, but plans to only display one representative machine from each product line. Visitors can see the units at booth 7424.
