LGH extends range of heavy-lift equipment
07 October 2026
UK-based lifting equipment hire specialist LGH has reported new investment to support higher-capacity, precision-engineered lifting solutions.
To date, the company has purchased equipment for rigging, skidding, hydraulic lifting and load measurement applications, areas where project complexity, load size and safety are of critical importance.

Andy Mault, CEO at LGH Europe, said, “Our investment strategy is driven by what our customers are facing on the ground: heavier loads, tighter tolerances and more complex engineered lifting requirements.
“The latest additions are not standard rental market items, they are specialist, high‑capacity tools designed for projects where technical knowledge, experience and the right equipment are critical.”
Additions to the available range include the 400/800 tonne Holmatro skidding system. This can move very heavy assets in restricted headroom locations where it’s impractical to use a crane. Typical applications include transformer relocation and machinery installation.
The investment also covers 800 and 1,000 tonne capacity GreenPin shackles, to enhance the capability of the 1,500 tonne MegaMod spreader beam. This offers the capacity for offshore operations, heavy onshore lifts and load-testing programmes.
Also new to the lineup are 520 tonne Enerpac cylinders, used in heavy engineering works, and also 500 tonne Crosby Straightpoint load shackles for load measurement.
