Lavendon invites suppliers as it gears up for reinvestment

Lavendon Access Services, the UK arm of Lavendon Group, is inviting equipment suppliers to demonstrate their latest machines as it gears up to start renewing its fleet from 2012 onwards.

Lavendon has created a New Product Committee that will meet quarterly to prepare the procurement programme and said it welcomed approaches from suppliers regarding potential new products.

The committee will evaluate submissions and invite suppliers to demonstrate machines at the meetings. Lavendon said it would create a clear point of entry for suppliers.

Lavendon Access Services comprises Nationwide Platforms, Panther and EPL Skylift, which together have a fleet of more than 11500 machines.

Richard Miller, managing director for sales and marketing at Lavendon Access Services, said: "We're intending to significantly increase our investment from 2012. Therefore forming this committee is the first step in preparing us for this increased capital expenditure.

"We believe this approach will enable us to specify the best and most appropriate powered access products available to us today in the market place."

The committee is made up of a cross section of Lavendon's management team.

Lavendon has requested that interested suppliers e-mail Jayne Shelton ([email protected]), the company's executive administrator, with product submissions.
