Lavendon appoints development director

Lavendon Group has appointed Wayne Smith to the position of corporate development director.

Mr Smith joins Lavendon from temporary power provider Aggreko at which he was director of business development. He joined Aggreko in 2013 from LaFarge where he held a number of senior roles across China, Southeast Asia and North America.

With a strong background in the rental industry and expansive knowledge of international business development and new market entry strategies, Lavendon said Smith is well positioned to help it achieve its goals.

Mr Smith formally takes up his appointment on 23 May and will be based in Lavendon Group headquarters in Leicestershire, UK.
